Barbara Kranefeld

Barbara has painted for many years, but taken it up seriously since 1991.

She studied under private tutors.

Her main motifs are flowers and nature.

Barbara’s technique is characterized by the soft and seamless painting of many layers, leading to a certain harmony of colour and form, thus radiating an atmosphere of calmness. This harmony may be deceptive, because on closer inspection you can sometimes discover minor imbalances. Her aim is not to show objects in a photorealistic way, but to show the beauty of shapes.
